DAVID S. GULLION, MD
Medical Oncologist - Marin Specialty Care
Dr. Gullion received his BA from Kenyon College and graduated from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his medical residency at UCSF, serving as chief resident at Moffitt Hospital. During this time he was a Clinical Associate in oncology and hematology at the National Cancer Institute at NIH. Following his fellowship in hematology and oncology, Dr. Gullion entered private practice and taught oncology at UCSF while administering the Continuing Medical Education Department. He has practiced oncology and hematology in Marin County since 1992, and is currently on the faculty of the UCSF Healer's Art program.
Dr. Gullion created Marin Specialty Care’s program of Integrative Oncology combining complementary modalities with expert medical treatment. As Medical Director of the Center for Integrative Health and Wellness at Marin General Hospital, he oversees a comprehensive program of psychosocial support, nutrition counseling, patient navigation, exercise consultation and complementary therapies for persons with cancer, breast cancer and other medical conditions.
Known for his warm smile and unique collection of heart pins and neckties, David Gullion is appreciated by his patients for guiding them through their breast cancer journey. He is respected by his peers for his lived example of keeping one’s heart in the art of medicine and healing. He resides with his family in Kentfield and enjoys mountain biking, skiing and sailing.
