REV. BILL EICHHORN
For Supporting Ann Eichhorn and Congregants
A cancer survivor himself, Rev. Eichhorn retired from his post as a co-minister with his wife Ann Eichhorn. Ann served on the Board of Directors of Marin Breast Cancer Watch. Bill and Ann have taken turns supporting each through Bill's bout with prostate cancer and Ann's second episode with breast cancer. They know how to work together as a team, whether as parents and grandparents, community service organizers, or in their roles as co-ministers – formerly at the Community Congregational Church in Tiburon.
Rev. Eichhorn's qualities as an everyday healer have been shaped by his pastoral care experience with congregants facing life-threatening illnesses. His leadership in the faith community has included posts in the youth ministry as well as social and environmental justice. His experience with prostate cancer has influenced his personal views on the gift of life, the importance of setting goals and the necessity for diversion and respite as couples and families face cancer. An avid bicyclist who admires Lance Armstrong, Bill Eichhorn leads with his heart and shares his spirituality. Rev. Eichhorn believes that part of a spiritual orientation to life is hope. As a Healing Partner, he knows that through compassion and respect, he has helped a loved one manage the challenges of breast cancer, one day at a time. Both Bill and Ann are celebrating their triumphs over cancer and their remarkable life partnership.
