Co-Founder & Program Director, Sunflower Wellness
Regan Fedric is co-founder and Program Director of Sunflower Wellness, a nonprofit organization that promotes movement and exercise to improve the lives of those living with cancer. Ms. Fedric initiated one of the country's first cancer exercise counseling services at the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center and is a key team member at the Center for Integrative Health and Wellness at Marin General Hospital.
As a certified cancer exercise specialist, Regan designs programs to assist patients before, during and after medical treatment. These programs include individualized patient consultations at her current clinical worksites and at Stanford University and Smith Integrative Oncology. In partnership with the Western Athletic Clubs, she and her colleagues have expanded the Sunflower Wellness programs at the Bay Clubs in San Francisco and Marin. She is known by her clients for her caring support, motivating energy and empowering approach to women with breast cancer.
Regan has extensive fitness industry experience both as a certified personal trainer and as a health fitness instructor for special populations. She presents at forums and leads educational workshops for other trainers to meet the growing demand for clinical exercise specialists. She has long focused on physical fitness as an integral part of overall wellness and is currently expanding the Sunflower Wellness program at the Rolling Hills Club in northern Marin County.
In addition to her specialty certifications, Regan holds a BS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Memphis where she minored in Biology and played Division 1 Basketball on an athletic scholarship.
