ZSOLT & SEBASTYEN JACKOVICS
President and CEO
Fitness SF

Zero Breast Cancer is pleased to present the 2015 Francine Levien Activist Award to Zsolt and Sebastyen Jackovics, President and CEO of Fitness SF health clubs, one of which is located in Marin County. Similar to the vision of Francine Levien, founder of Zero Breast Cancer, Zsolt and Sebastyen are committed to reducing toxic environmental exposures and minimizing their “carbon footprint.”

Zsolt and Sebastyen and Fitness SF are being recognized for installing the Tersano Cleaning, Sanitizing and Deodorizing system in their gyms. This technology is a powerful, environmentally sustainable alternative to chemicals that are often toxic or pose a health threat. The system transforms ordinary tap water into an effective chemical-free commercial cleaner by infusing it with ozone. This ‘Stabilized Aqueous Ozone’ eliminates germs, odors, stains, mold, mildew and other contaminants on any item or surface before changing safely back into water and oxygen. The Tersano Cleaning, Sanitizing and Deodorizing system eliminates the use of unhealthy chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, quaternary ammoniums (Quats), phthalates, formaldehyde and Triclosan, often found in cleaning products, equipment wipes and deodorizer fragrances. Some of these chemicals have, in animal models, been shown to increase the incidence of mammary tumors, and are therefore of concern to breast cancer researchers. With zero toxic residuals and zero down-drain contaminants, the system goes beyond “green,” offering a powerful environmentally sustainable alternative to toxic chemicals.

Zero Breast Cancer is delighted to recognize Zsolt and Sebastyen Jackovics for their commitment to making their health facilities safer and healthier for members, staff and the local communities they serve.
