For Supporting Teresa Wootton
If you looked up the word family in the dictionary, you would see a picture of Teresa Wootton's family smiling and laughing together. To say they are a close-knit group is only part of the story. They provide each other with unconditional support, love, understanding, and most of all, laughter. They are sisters and daughters. But they are also friends. Best friends.
When Teresa was diagnosed with cancer a second time two years ago, her mother and sisters stepped right in, taking her to appointments, cooking meals, looking after her children, and finding humor in a very difficult situation. They didn't think twice about being there to support Teresa. It's what you do when you are a family.
If you ask them what it means to be healers, it's simple. You do what is necessary to help someone you love when they are in need. Teresa also has two brothers and a loving husband and children who help her during this difficult time.
According to Teresa, she is actually quite lucky. She gets to spend time with the people she loves most in the world. Their closeness and respect for one another shows in every thing they do. And they firmly believe that laughter is a key part of the healing process.
